CORROSION INHIBITOR,
WATER SOLUBLE CATIONIC FILM FORMING AMINE TYPE

This compound is used in salt water and wastewater systems in order to form a thin film on the metals’ surfaces and protect them against the corrosive environment especially CO2, and H2S. This compound has a film forming capability and is soluble in water and saltwater through modifications on the base chemical molecule. This compound is similar to the corrosion inhibitors used in petroleum systems. In order to be used in desali- nation factories and salt water systems, this compound is soluble in 10% salt water and is compatible with other chemical compounds. The compatibility is determined through laboratory tests while corrosion inhibition is measured using NACE rotating disk test
