ASPHALTENE REMOVAL

Removal of Asphaltene precipitates from petroleum manufacturing equipment and other production systems had been one of the important problems in the petroleum industry in recent years.
In the past, the selection of chemical controlling agents was limited to evaluating the solubility of asphaltene in samples recovered from production systems. Recently, the accepted method for solving this problem is the use of aromatic solvents such as xylene, toluene, etc. However, due to the high price of these solvents and their low flash points, Helia Farayand Razi Co. succeeded in introducing a new solvent formulation with an afford- able price and low flash point which has a performance equal to or even exceeding that of conventional solvents.
